Superintendent Danny Adkins congratulates our high school students on their accomplishments in the Regional Governor’s Cup competition.
Adkins says, “Congratulations to our high school academic team students advancing to state competition! From Floyd Central, we want to congratulate Lindsay Caudill, 1st in language arts, Kade Scott 2nd in arts & humanities and 5th in math, and Justin Tussey 4th in science. From Prestonsburg High School, congratulations Preston Crase, 3rd in social studies, and Kaitlyn Hager 5th in composition. And from Betsy Layne High, congratulations Karanda Newsome, 4th in composition!” Adkins talked about the Quick Recall competition saying, “Congratulations Floyd Central Quick Recall on placing 3rd in the region!
Adkins concludes, ”These students will be competing virtually in the state Governor’s Cup beginning March 13 and 13 for written assessment. Please join us in wishing our students the best of luck!”
